Purpose:
The purpose of this lab was to observe the various behaviors of the bacteria, C. Elegans, also known as Caenorhabditis Elegans, under a microscope.
Procedure:
The procedures for this lab were simple. first we wore lab coats and gloves to protect the skin and clothes from anything harmful, then, we observed to different petrie dishes of C. Elegans under two different microscopes, onne zommed in 3x and another zoomed in 10x.
After this, we went around the school in search of samples of nematodes, we got 4 different samples around the school.
Sample 1: Found in a runoff ditch in front of HTHNC, it looks moist, swampy brown, dark, and has a clay-like consistency.
Sample 2: Found next to the carpool area, under a tree near the middle of it. It is squishy, light brown, appears to dry quick, also clay-like.
Sample 3: Found in a ditch between the new field and te middle school. Contains lots of bark, it feels soft, grainy, and looks wet.
Sample 4: Found in the rocky area in the back of the lunch area. Chunky and clay-like, brown color, and moist.
Unfortunately, our samples contained no nematodes in them.

Pre-Lab Questions:
1. What are they used for?
They are used for their experimental attributes, that being they're small, and easily housed.
2. How many cells do they have at a mature age?
They have 959 cells at a mature age.
3. What is the average lifetime for the C. Elegans?
The averagte lifespan of a C. Elegan is 2-3 weeks.
4. What is their relevance in teaching?
They are useful in the teaching of genetics.
5. Include a diagram of the lifespan of a C. Elegan.

Observations
Below is what we saw under the microscopes.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the purpose of theis lab was to explore the activities of a world not seen by the naked eye, and observe smaller organisms and bacterii.
