In my second draft, I incorporated as much of the critique that I could and made more vibrant reds, gave the popcorn a nice yellow color, removed the random pencil and paint blotches, and it turned out to be a much better result than the first draft.
During this entire project, I have done what I never though I could have done, which was any form of art. My skills as an artist have grown drastically from painting just this one painting! I think that by the end of the semester, I will have no problem tackling any art project that comes in my way. |
In this art project, we had to take two images and fuse them together to make a new one, that could either have a meaning to it or just be completely random.
For my art piece, I decided that I would fuse a soccer ball with a bag of popcorn and replace the popcorn with the soccer ball. This has many personal meanings to it. For example, I like soccer and movies and I like watching soccer. The popcorn bag represents my interest in watching soccer or just movies/shows in general. The soccer ball represents my interest in soccer, both watching and playing it. This was my first draft for the art project and as you can see, it isn't the best. There are many things that could be improved upon. So, I sought out critique from three of my peers and they all gave me great things I could improve on like making the red more vibrant, and give the popcorn some color. There were also many accidental blotches of paint and pencil marks in random places, so in my second draft, I attempted to fix that. |
