Client Engagement Project
For this project, we had to work out a problem that concerned our assigned "client" involving what the greatest profit she could obtain. In order to do this, we had to break down the equation by first examining our constraints that were given to us. Which included that the client only had time to make a certain amount of paintings and only a limited amount of money to spend on supplies. We first decided to create a graph in GeoGebra that displayed the constraints of the problem. By testing every vertex of the feasible region, my group found that the most possible profit that our client could receive was 1,240 dollars by making six pastel paintings and 10 watercolor paintings.
For the group roles, I was the facilitator, Zoha was the GeoGebra guru, Josh was the spokesperson and Annette wrote everything that we discussed down. I think that everyone executed their jobs fairly well to the point where we could solve the problem. I do like how our group communicated with each other and worked out problems that we bumped into one by one. I do appreciate Annette writing down everything so that if we got lost, we coul always turn back to her. I do appreciate Zoha using GeoGebra very well, she created an excellent graph in a matter of minutes that portrayed exactly what we needed to know about which points would and would not work within the feasible region. Josh did a good job too, he spoke to the client when he had to explain the different profits and reasonings towards our answer choice. As for how I did with my role, I thought that I executeed it very strongly and kept our group on task and focused on the question so that we would not get side tracked. I also participated in every group conversation that we had to figure the max profit for our client.
