Problem Statement
For this problem, we had to use the numbers 1, 2, 3 , and 4 once in an equation to add up to numbers 1-25 and find other ways to do it. There were many ways we could do this from using simple math like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to square rooting, juxtaposing two numbers together and using that.
Process Description
I took a very straightforward approach to the problem where I went one by one to find out which equation could get me to the desired number. I attempted at looking for some sort of pattern, but found quicker and better results by taking the more straight foreward approach
Solution
The only solution for this problem was to find the equations for the numbers 1-25, and the process explains the method I used to do that which was testing out equations until I got the number that was needed.
Self-Assessment and Reflection
I think the grade that I deserve is a A- because I completed the problem but I didn't explore as much as I think I could. One Habit of a Mathematician that I think I used in this was conjecture and test because that was the method that I used in solving this problem.
